Successful Hajj 2016

This years Hajj has successfully ended on Thursday, the 15th of September 2016. In contrast to last year's pilgrimage, this season no crowd disaster occurred as reported by several media: CNN, IBT, and IOL, for example. For this year's Hajj our Operations Research based scheduling and routing approach was used again for the assignment of pilgrims to stoning times and routes that lead to Jamarat Bridge (location of the stoning ritual). This approach was already in use 2007-2014. In 2015, the year of the tragic crowd disaster, an alternate company provided the plans to the authorities.
